Bio: Amanda is a sophomore Interdisciplinary Engineering student with a focus in Materials Science. Her academic interests center on metallurgy and electronic materials, with a goal of contributing to materials development for aerospace and electronics applications.
Amanda currently conducts research in Dr. Ibrahim Karaman's lab, where she studies binary ultra-high-temperature shape memory alloys. Her work involves mechanical and thermal testing to assess these alloys' potential for aerospace components that must perform reliably at extreme temperatures.
Looking ahead, Amanda is considering graduate study and hopes to build a career bridging metallurgy and electronics through materials research and development.
