Bio: Mattie Ward is a current honors undergraduate student at Texas A&M University at Galveston studying Marine Biology. Her research interests include evolutionary biology, morphology-based traits of marine species that can be traced back millions of years ago, and a focused interest in the foundational fin-to-limb transition. Her current project investigates how the diets and feeding habits of coral reef fishes impact the evolutionary development of the pupil-to-eye ratio. After undergrad, she plans on continuing her studies in a more focused Evolutionary Ecology program.

I'm excited to help students find a project that is right for them! Email me at mattieward@tamu.edu.
