Bio: My name is Sruthi, and I am a sophomore at Texas A&M. The things most important to me are my family, my friends, and using learning for good! In the Dulin Laboratory, I currently serve as an undergraduate researcher. I work with Vipin Jagrit, whose project is focused on understanding the effects of neural progenitor cell transplantation and active rehabilitation on the repair of forelimb motor circuitry. The fields that I'd like to research more in the future are the implications and possible cures for pediatric epilepsy. In the future, I hope to attend medical school and pursue a career in pediatric neurology. My goal in becoming an undergraduate research ambassador is to get other undergraduate students excited about research. Research is a team effort, and the monumental scientific discoveries occurring at Texas A & M need more involvement and recognition. I hope by sharing my experiences in research with my peers, I will be able to encourage them to step out of their comfort zones and consider exploring research during their time here.
