Bio: Micaiah Pitor was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to the United States at the age of ten. She is currently a sophomore at Texas A&M University, where she is pursuing a degree in Biology. Her academic interests are centered on understanding disease at the cellular and molecular levels, with a particular focus on cancer research.

Micaiah is actively working toward a career as a physician-scientist and plans to pursue an MD-PhD following her undergraduate studies. She is especially interested in integrating clinical practice with research to advance treatments and improve patient outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.

Beyond academics, Micaiah is involved in research and is committed to service through community and faith-based initiatives. Her passion for helping others is deeply rooted in her desire to serve both through medicine and outreach. She also enjoys exercising, singing, and sketching, which provide balance alongside her academic and professional pursuits.

Through her future career, Micaiah hopes to contribute to life-changing discoveries while making a meaningful impact on the lives of others through compassionate, patient-centered care.
