Bio: Howdy! I'm Gabriel Gomez, Class of 2026, and a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics at TAMU. My research focus is on graph algorithm development and high-performance computing.

Since my sophomore year, I’ve conducted research under Dr. Tim Davis, developing algorithms to compute rich club coefficients and generate randomized graphs. This project involved two of my main interests: mathematics and optimization, so the work was very rewarding. This work led to a thesis through the Undergraduate Research Scholars program.

Outside of research I have interned at FalkorDB helping develop algorithms for graph databases. I run a tutoring business for high school students in math and physics. I also enjoy long-distance running, which consistently reminds me that improvement is hard-fought and takes time and discipline.  I plan to pursue a career in algorithmic research in either academia or industry.
