Bio: Jackson Farris is a Physics and Mathematics major with a minor in Music at Texas A&M University. Originally from De Kalb, Texas, Jackson is in his fourth year of undergraduate study and plans to pursue a Ph.D. with long-term career goals in higher education and research. He hopes to hold a professorship and teach at the university level, combining his passion for teaching with his interest in scientific discovery.
Jackson currently works with the Texas A&M Physics Lab Center, where he builds, presents, and repairs physics demonstrations and prepares classrooms for laboratory courses. In addition to his work in physics education, Jackson conducts theoretical physics research under the supervision of Dr. Alexey Belyanin. His current research explores the use of superradiance to improve imaging for biological applications.
Through his experiences in research and education, Jackson has developed a passion for making science accessible and engaging for others. As an Undergraduate Research Ambassador, he hopes to help students explore research opportunities and discover how curiosity, creativity, and collaboration can shape their academic journeys.
