Bio: Adoriam is a Bioenvironmental Sciences major at Texas A&M University pursuing minors in Business and Ecology & Conservation Biology. She currently works as a Resident Advisor, Lab Assistant, and dog walker where she has strengthened her ability to manage competing priorities and develop strong leadership skills. Academically, she is captivated by biotechnology, plant pathology, and genetics.
Through her undergraduate research in Dr. Edwards' lab, Adoriam studies how native bacterial strains can act as natural shields to help crops grow and fight off diseases. As an IPMB REEU student in 2025, she researched corn-microbe interactions within plant rhizospheres and has continued this work through her role as a lab assistant. She believes that science shouldn't stay locked in a laboratory, so she co-hosts Research Geographic, a student-led podcast focused on breaking down complex scientific discoveries into everyday language.
After graduating, Adoriam plans to pursue a master's degree in Biotechnology to deepen her technical expertise. Her ultimate career goal is to transition into a managerial role within the agricultural biotechnology industry, blending her scientific background and business training to lead teams developing sustainable, climate-resilient crop solutions. Ultimately, she hopes to spearhead biotechnology initiatives that protect global food security while ensuring these advancements reach the communities that need them most.
