CONFERENCE HOUSING (On Campus)
If your REU program chooses to enroll students as conference participants instead of admitting them to the university, on-campus housing for your students may be arranged by Conference and Guest Services within the Department of Residence Life. Basic conference housing costs approximately the same as summer school housing, yet can cost more depending on the type of dormitory and whether or not students choose a linens/towel package. REU participants will be housed in the Modular Halls. Summer 2009 conference housing rates are as follows:
No Linen/Towels (Guests must provide own towels, bed linen, other amenities)
$21.00/person/night for Double Occupancy
$30.00/person/night for Single Occupancy
Twice Weekly Towel Packet (Towels/wash cloths exchanged Wednesday/Friday, bed linen weekly)
$26.00/person/night for Double Occupancy
$35.00/person/night for Single Occupancy
Daily Towel Packet (Towels/wash cloths exchanged each day, bed linen weekly)
$31.00/person/night for Double Occupancy
$40.00/person/night for Single Occupancy
Conference housing is based on a per diem cost and is billed to a sponsor (such as your department) instead of to the students. Sponsors are required to provide keys and cards to their students and also to collect the keys and cards at the end of the session. Conference rooms and bathrooms are cleaned on a weekly basis, whereas only bathrooms are cleaned and trash disposed on a weekly basis in summer school housing.

THE TRADITION AT NORTHGATE (Off campus)
As an alternative to on-campus housing, you may also choose to house your students at The Tradition at Northgate located at 301 Church Avenue.
For a group of 0-99 the rate per night for summer 2009 will be $19.25. For groups of 100-200 the rate per night will be $17.90. Though each will have an independent contract, all Research Institutes recognized by the Office of the Vice President of Research will be "clumped together" for purposes of pricing. For instance, if there are 10 Research Institutes (each organized by a different department) and each has 10 participants, then the collective group of 100 will receive the 100-200 per night rate.
