The lab focuses mostly on the fossil record and evolutionary history of life around the world. Unlike many research labs, this lab is fundamentally an organismal biology lab and focuses on entire organisms--their morphology, anatomy, ecology, evolution, paleobiology, etc.

We are searching for an undergraduate student to participate in an NSF funded project that investigates the interaction of reindeer and birch trees in the mountains of northern Sweden. We have an REU supplement that will fund some salary and all student travel to acquire data.

This is an intervention project with Spanish-speaking families and their pre-school children in College Station. Language interactions and family support in literacy related activities with their children are used to support the language and literacy development of these pre-schoolers. Preference is for students that have work study money or students that are looking for research experience to boost their graduate school applications.
